William D. Lewis

ProfileI became an attorney because I enjoy helping people solve their problems. Few problems are as central and serious in a person’s life as a legal problem. After becoming an attorney, I earned my LL.M. in Tax from New York University School of Law which is the No. 1 ranked tax law program in the US.  I moved back to the Bay Area to help people and businesses in need with their tax issues.

The power that the IRS and California state agencies have over taxpayers borders on the unjust, and I’ve made it my mission to fight back against that injustice. Few things bring me as much pleasure as negotiating a strong tax settlement for my clients.

I was born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area. My great-great-great-grandfather, Captain John Davenport, first moved to the Monterey Bay in 1852. My roots in the San Francisco Bay Area are deep, and I love serving people in our community and people who are looking to invest in our community.

In my spare time I am proud to serve on the Board of Directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Santa Cruz County.
